Lest mal, darüber muss man echt nachdenken...

«listen think react « - sick of silence

this is a song we play for you tonight
to give you an idea about how things could be
'cause right now so many things are going wrong in this world
greed and ignorance are keeping us under control,
people - even young children - in asia and the third world are working under the worst conditions
just so that we can wear our 'hot brandnew fashion' (boycott nike)
they're starving while we throw good food away
animals are used and abused as products
in our factories our death camps in the name of progress what progress what progress?

fight! let's start tonight
it's in our hands to listen think and to react
we gotta act we gotta move we gotta wake up

there's a vision that could be more than a vision
something that could be our new reality
'cause you and me the people on the streets
we all can change something change something for the better
more human rip their uniform and start to live
now- today
let's set the world on fire and bring it all to life
let's set the world on fire let's start tonight

Anti-manifesto - Propagandhi

Dance and laugh and play. Ignore the message we convey.
It seems we're only here to entertain.
A rebellion cut-to-fit. I refuse to be the soundtrack to it.
While we entertain we're still knee-deep in shit.
There's something wrong inside.
We've played it safe, enjoyed the ride.
You won't like this but I've something to confide.
We stand for something more than a faded sticker on a skateboard.
Now we've rained on your parade and we're out the door.
And I don't even care any fucking more.
Witness this pair in accomplice.
Witness this pair; lethargic, unconscious.
No brows furrowed in question, complacent, completing their tasks
(no questions asked)
Consider this critic a cretin,
Just resting on laurels completely invented.
Word acrobatics performed with both harness and net.
I am so full of shit.
But I will remain until this self-awareness fades
Until I defeat the purpose of this soapbox that you made.
That you made.
Hope, perseverance, a vision (some doubt).
Green ink, a 26 oz., a bad case of big-mouth.
A sum of our parts and I've never laughed harder.
A song in our hearts and I've never laughed harder.
It don't really matter cuz nothing's ever felt as right as this.
(by the way, I stole this riff)

«crusader of individuality « - Sick of silence

is this just music or is it more - or is it politics
just simple words so strong that they can break barricades
some listen only to remember some listen to forget
some listen just to dance to we scream not to forget

so hear this song

we're drowning in our arrogance slaves to the world we built
in front of our tv screen we're killing creativity
this plastic smile we learned by heart unable to communicate
but all the excitement's still here for us to be seen if we're just willing to see it

is this just music or is it more...

with our thoughts being our threats and our words being our most dangerous weapons
every song would be a manifesto to society against boredom and monotony
a crusade to bring back individuality so scream and spead the message

BRAND - RedLightsFlash

WE ARE FLYING ABOVE THE CLOUDS
WE ARE FLOATING ON A STREAM
TEENAGE ANGER HAS TURNED IN JOY
AND THE TREES IN FOREST ARE GONE
THEY SEE NO SENSE IN OUR FUTURE LIVES
BUT WE CAN PRETEND TO BE SOBER
NOW WE SIT IN A DEEP HOLE
WE`RE ON DIET WITH SELF-CONTROL
OH, IT`S TRUE; THAT WE GOT TO TEASE YOU
WHAT YOU FEEL
I DON`T CARE IF YOU FIGHT
STRIP MY SOUL;
THAT YOU GOT TO TEASE ME
WHAT I FEEL
I DON`T KNOW IF YOU CARE?
IS THIS THE SIGN FOR A GATHERING OR
IS IT JUST ANOTHER DREAM ?
THERE`S NO CHANCE FOR A BREAKOUT
GUESS WHAT`S THIS SONG ABOUT
THEY SEE NO SENSE IN OUR FUTURE LIVES
BUT WE CAN PRETEND TO BE SOBER
NOW WE SIT IN A DEEP HOLE WE`RE ON DIET WITH SELF-CONTROL...

HERESY, HYPOCRISY, AND REVENGE - good riddance
look or what you've left for me now that you've moved on won't pass for therapy just one more scar that's never gone you tried to break me down time and time again rejection feels to scream but i can't make a sound it's me you tried to hide as i hold you in my arms as i feel your body broker is this just a dream? disappointment follows me it's always just behind self doubt bred solitude frustration robs me blind no pain no part of me i have grown numb and cold self-centered fantasy obsessed with self control this is your worst fucking nightmare one chance a clean break much more than i can take lies cast shadows dark things nobody knows you've lost who's won? my revenge has just begun i've just begun and i'm coming home

NOFX-Dinosaurs Will Die
NOFX- Eat The Meek

Stick the fucking flag up your goddam ass, you sonofabitch

My father told me "son, it's futile to resist,
You can topple ideology but not the armies they enlist."
I questioned the intentions of the boy scouts chanting war.
"Well that's the sound of freedom, son" he said.
(Free to say no more.)
But wait a minute dad, did you actually say freedom?
Well, if you're dumb enough to vote,
You're fuckin dumb enough to believe him.
Cuz if this country is so goddam free,
Then I can burn your fucking flag wherever I damn well please.
I carried their anthem, convinces it was mine.
Rhymeless, unreasoned conjecture kept me in line.
But then I stood back and wondered what the fuck had they done to me.
Made accomplice to all that I'd promised I would never fucking be.
Never be.
You carry their anthem convinces that it's yours.
Invitation to honor. Invitation to war.
Bette Midler now assumes sainthood.
Romanticize murder for moral.
Tie a yellow ribbon round the oak tree my friend,
And "Gee Wally, that's swell!"
Fuck the troops to hell!

Hmmm...

Will Tear Us Appart", womit Paul Young dann seinen Durchbruch hatte.

He he...das ist mein 1. Senioren- Treffen

Bei Ska-Punk fallen mir "Stiff Little Fingers" ein. Gute Band!

*klatsch*

Noch ´n persönlicher Klassiker: Cardiacs "Is This The Life"

Hey Ho... let´s go... 8)

Teacher starve your child PC approved
As long as the right words are used
Systemised atrocity ignored
As long as bi-lingual signs on view

Ten foot sign in Oxford Street
Be pure, be vigilant, behave
Grey not neon, grey not real
Life bleeds, death is your birthright

PC she speaks impotent and sterile,
Naive, blind, atheist, sadist,
Stiff-upper lip, first principle of her silence,
Of her silence

PCP, a PC police victory
PCP, a PC pyrrhic victory
When I was young PC meant Police Constable
Nowadays I can't seem to tell the difference

Liposuction for your bad mouth boy
Cut out your tongue, effigies are sold
Words discoloured, bow to the bland
Heal yourself with sinner's salt

Doctors arrested for euthanasia
Kill smokers through blind vanity
If you're fat don't get ill
Europe's gravestone carved in plastic

PC she says innoculate, hallucinate,
Beware Shakespeare, bring fresh air,
King cigarette snuffed out by her midgets,
By her midgets

PCP, a PC police victory
PCP, a PC pyrrhic victory
When I was young PC meant Police Constable
Nowadays I can't seem to tell the difference

PC caresses bigots and big brother,
Read Liviticus, learnt censorship,
Pro-life equals anti-choice,
To be scared of, of feathers

PCP, a PC police victory
PCP, a PC pyrrhic victory
When I was young PC meant Police Constable
Nowadays I can't seem to tell the difference

Lawyers before love, surrogate sex
This land bows down to
Yours, unconditional love and hate
Pass the prozac, designer amnesiac

oder auch das wirklich gelungene Motorcycle emptiness

Culture sucks down words
Itemise loathing and feed yourself smiles
Organise your safe tribal war
Hurt maim kill and enslave the ghetto

Each day living out a lie
Life sold cheaply forever, ever, ever

Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness

Life lies a slow suicide
Orthodox dreams and symbolic myths
From feudal serf to spender
This wonderful world of purchase power

Just like lungs sucking on air
Survival's natural as sorrow, sorrow, sorrow

Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness

All we want from you are the kicks you've given us
All we want from you are the kicks you've given us
All we want from you are the kicks you've given us
All we want from you are the kicks you've given us

Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness

Drive away and it's the same
Everywhere death row, everyone's a victim
Your joys are counterfeit
This happiness corrupt political shit

Living life like a comatose
Ego loaded and swallow, swallow, swallow

Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Motorcycle emptiness
Under neon loneliness
Everlasting nothingness
